The Hungarian Numismatic Society organized a trip to Körmöcbánya in June 19, 2007. participants learned about the history of the Körmöcbánya mint, and visited the museum's antiquities and coin collections. They remembered the similar excursion that was taken 100 years ago and the late members of Siciety, and took the commemorative medal that was struck for this occasion.

The building of the Mint
The medal was designed by György Kiss medalist. The 37 mm diameter coin was minted from silver, and only those Society's members could purchase a piece by a subscription who the took part in the excursion. A total of 50 numbered copies and 5 probe pieces were minted. From the probe pieces (marked as I / 5 - V / 5) 2 pieces remained at the artist, the Society got 1pc, the Hungarian National Museum got 1pc and 1pc was deposited in the medal collection of Kremnica Museum.
