Ferenc Csúcs created the medal that celebrated the 45th anniversary of the Society.
Obverse (Hungarian Numismatic Society MCMI–XLVI) The sitting mythological woman Ceres puts a coin from her cornucopia to a jar standing on a table in front of her. |
Reverse The artists shows an archeological excavation scene on the reverse beside the date 1946 referring to the 45th anniversary: a man stands on the opening of a forest, holding a spade in his left hand, a coin in his right. In front of him a jar packed with old coins. His dog watches his observations. |
The 28 mm diameter tokens were made of bronze and silver.
